Easter Weekend

This last weekend was a lot of fun. On Friday Andrew and I went to a late dinner to Market Street to celebrate our 7th anniversary (can you believe 7years!!). It was a great evening, however when we went to pick up the kids, Thomas had become very sick. He had a high fever and he kept saying his body hurt. After contacting his doctor we determined that we would just watch him throught the night and if he was still really sick in the morning we would take him in. It was kind of a bummer for him to be sick because we were scheduled to go to our friend A'Lisha's house for an Easter Egg Hunt. I took Kate and Mattie on Saturday and let Thomas sleep. He was bummed only until he found that we had brought him a bag full of eggs. That night we had our Easter dinner because Andrew was getting ready to leave on a business trip. We had his mom, my parents, and his friend Brian over for dinner. It was a great dinner!! After we decorated eggs and played Brian's WII. That was so fun!! What a great night!

On Sunday the "easter bunny" had hid all the eggs and the kids had great fun trying to find them all over the house. After we had a nice breakfast and the kids and I got ready for church. We had to take Andrew to the airport and than we were going to drive to church - however, on the way, Katie threw up all over her easter dress. I still can't decide if she was just car sick or sick because she ate too much candy - needless to say though she felt much better after. We ended up at my parent's house that evening and had another nice dinner. Andrew called us around 8:30 telling us that he had made it to Dallas okay. Anyway - our wild and crazy weekend was a lot of fun!!!

Family Pizza Night

Last night was a lot of fun!! We had a fun pizza party with the kids. Everyone (including Mattie) got their PJ's on and we made our own pizza (except Mattie!!!). We watched Emprie Strikes Back and after it was over we had homemade brownies for desert. The kids had a lot of fun and so did mom and dad!!

We are starting to all get better but Dad has now got the yuckies and Mattie and Mommy are still in recovery. Hopefully by Monday we will all be doing better. Also - exciting news for us - Andrew got a new job!!! Yeah!! After 7 years, he will finally be working days and will be able to be home with us at night. I am so excited!!

HELP!! - Everyone is Sick!

This last week has been crazy - everyone in the house has been sick. We even spent Sunday night/monday morning in the ER with Mattie because she was coughing so hard she was changing colors. We thought she may have had RSV but - thank goodnes that was not the case. Just a common cold that has gone hay wire.

Everything else has been going well. Thomas is doing awesome in school. We just had parent teacher conferences this week and were told that Thomas is doing excellent. He is right where he needs to be and seems to be enjoying his school. Kate and Mattie have started with a new caregiver. She is awesome with the kids and they are doing very well with her.

Mattie has started smiling and is recognizing her family. It is so fun!! I forgot how neat it is to have a baby in the house because they bring such a sense of calm and peacfulness to the family. Kate is a great big sister - ready to help at any moment. She is still our princess and makes sure we are still aware of that and tells us frequently that when Mattie is ready, she will help her be a princess too. Thomas and Mattie I have decided have a very special bond. He can make her laugh like nobody else and she brings out a real sensitive side of him we don't see very often.

Mattie's Blessing

On Sunday was Mattie's blessing. It was such a nice day. We had family and friends come to support us and our new beautiful baby. Mattie was good all day. She tends to get fussy when she is held by too many people but she did so well and really was an angel baby. We invited everyone to our house after the blessing and it was a FULL house - but it was great fun. We had soup and salad and kids were able to play and the adults were able to sit and relax and talk with each other. Most of Andrew's family was able to make it which was very nice as well as most of my family. My friends Misty and A'Lisha were there and they gave me the addresses of their blogs which led to me attempting to create my own. I will try and keep it updated as much as possible - we will just see how it goes.
